VR Engineering Summer Camp
British School of Orvieto
OVERVIEW
The mission of the Virtual Reality Engineering Summer Camp (VRES Camp) is to host a model high-school program that engages future undergraduate STEM participants as designers, programmers, and developers of immersive, interactive, and digital environments.
The participants will get to engage with stimulating and innovative topics and technology by: exploring seminal and current simulation research; interacting with professionals and industry representatives; and designing, programming, coding, and developing simulations for the advancement of architecture, engineering, and construction.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The VRES Camp will:
Mentor the next generation of learners to become environmentally conscious leaders and builders;
Train participants in generating virtual reality simulations;
Contribute to the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary to pursue STEM education;
Introduce industrial applications of virtual reality and visualization in the architectural, engineering, and construction field; and
Promote high-school participants to pursue STEM degrees.
